Regular readers of this blog will have noticed the new website design and main focus of the website.  While taking some time off from photographing events on a regular basis I have been able to re-assess the primary direction that I wish to take with the business and that is to focus primarily on portrait photography for rural families in the south west and surrounding areas along with some Fine Art/Conceptual photography projects that I have wanted to explore for a long while. 

As my youngest daughter is competing more frequently I will usually have my camera with me at events that we attend, but will take photos of other competitiors by arrangement only (so if you see me at an event and would like to buy photos please come and let me know!).  I can also be booked for private coverage of events by two or more event participants.  The standard session booking fee and any related travel fee is required in advance to secure photography for the event.

Proof images from past events in Perth and the south west region are no longer part of the main website, but will be available for purchase from the old South West Photography web site for a short time before being permanently deleted to free up hard disk space.

I would sincerely like to thank all my past clients who have enjoyed and purchased my Event photography and supported my business since 2008.

The 2012 Mayanup Campdraft was held this weekend, as you can see from the photos it was extremely dusty and equally as hot on the Sunday.  There  were some excellent runs and for once the beasts that jumped out picked the opposite side of the arena from where I was standing!

Proof photos from the 2011 Bridgetown Agricultural Show are now available for ordering in the Events Gallery.  As my daughter was competing, the majority of the coverage is from the Junior Hack Ring and Jumping, with some coverage of the Senior Hack and Breed Rings.  Well done to all the Warren Pony Club girls who did very well in the hack rings!

I would just like to thank everyone that helped out with our pony when my daughter took a tumble over a practice jump and scored the shortest ever ambulance ride next door to Bridgetown Hospital.  Thank goodness she is fine and was released after being checked over (I on the other hand have at least a dozen more grey hairs!).

The Proofs for the 2011 Collie Agricultural Show are now available for viewing and ordering in the Events gallery.  My youngest daughter was competing so the photographic coverage was for the Hack Rings, Show Jumping and Novelties only.
